Hybrid Fillers-Collagen Stimulator for Plump, Glowing Skin

As skin ages, collagen production declines, leading to fine lines, wrinkles, and reduced elasticity. Treatments combining hyaluronic acid (HA) with poly-D-lactic acid (PDLLA) helps to restore hydration and support collagen production for gradual skin improvement.

What is a Hybrid Filler-Collagen Stimulator?

This treatment combines two components:

Hyaluronic Acid (HA): A hydrating ingredient that helps retain moisture and improve skin elasticity.

Poly-D-Lactic Acid (PDLLA): A bio-stimulatory component that encourages collagen formation over time, helping to improve skin firmness and texture.

Together, these elements provide immediate hydration while supporting gradual skin renewal.

They have been developed and formulated with different proportions and even particle size for different applications.

What is Poly-D, L-Lactic Acid (PDLLA)?

Poly-D, L-Lactic Acid (PDLLA) is a key ingredient in Juvelook and Lenisna dermal fillers. PDLLA is a biocompatible and biodegradable polymer derived from natural sources, approved by the FDA for use in the human body.

Featuring a unique patented structure with a spherical, foamy outer layer and a reticular, porous inner structure, PDLLA maximizes the surface area for effective collagen stimulation. This design also minimizes damage to surrounding tissues and allows for a slower, more controlled decomposition, preventing drastic pH changes.

Clinical studies have shown a significant increase in collagen production and a gradual reduction of PDLLA particles in the dermis over time, demonstrating the long-lasting rejuvenating benefits of this collagen-boosting technology.

Different Approaches to Collagen Stimulation

Not all HA+PDLLA treatments are the same!

Different formulations vary in their PDLLA particle size and injection depth, allowing for more personalised results. Some treatments are designed for hydration and skin texture enhancement, while others focus on structural support and lifting effects.

Hydration-Focused

  • Smaller particles of PDLLA, smoother texture
  • Injected into more superficial layers for skin glow
  • Expect gradual skin improvement over several months

Best for: Dull skin, fine lines, overall hydration

⭐️ Common treatment areas: Face, neck, décolletag

Structural Support-Focused

  • Larger particles of PDLLA for firmer support
  • Injected into deeper layers for volume and structure
  • Expect longer-term collagen stimulation with lifting effects

Best for: Skin laxity, deeper wrinkles, contouring

⭐️ Common treatment areas: Midface, jawline, and deeper structural concerns

Treatment with Hybrid Filler-Collagen Stimulator

Step 1

A personalised consultation with our doctors at Eagle Aesthetics & Surgery to understand you skincare concerns and goals to determine the appropriate preparation to use.

Step 2

Anaesthesia is performed at the injection site to ensure comfort during the procedure. The injection is also reconstituted and prepared in the meantime.

Step 3

The procedure is performed with a needle or a cannula. Hydration-focused formulation is applied to the lower part of the dermis, while structural support-focused formulation is applied to the subcutaneous or periosteal tissue

There is no need to massage the post-treatment areas due to the unique round shape of PDLLA acid molecules and its combination with non-cross-linked HA.

What to expect After Treatment with Hybrid Filler-Collagen Stimulator

On the 1st and 2nd day after the procedure, you may experience slight swelling and bruising, especially in sensitive areas such as the eyes. The swelling usually subsides by the third day.

For hydration-focused formulation, mild haematomas may form due to large number of punctures in the case of mesotherapy. Your doctor will advise accordingly if this is an effect to look out for.

To ensure ideal treatment outcomes, it is important to follow post-treatment instructions:
  • Keep the treatment site clean
  • Avoid sun exposure
  • Do not visit spas or do facials on the day of treatment
